Driving around in cars

Good Morning!!

Well, my day started off just dandy this morning (apart from the usual before-school whining that is lol).

Was taking DD Mad to the docs for a wasp sting on her foot that does not look very good. (doc says its ok, she is having an allergic reaction). On the way, a young person (can you guess if she was a "P" plater?) pulled out in front of me from a side street! *crash*. So, we had an accident. Mad was a bit shaken and hurt her tummy (doc says all is well, the seat belt did no apparent damage), but not nearly as distraught as the driver of the other car - poor thing, she was practically beside herself she was so upset. I was shaken too, first prang in about 9 years!!

Here's a coupla pics:

The car is still drivable, but I have to get in and out via the passenger door cos the front right panel has been pushed back and blocks the driver door from opening. Mad thinks this is a huge source of entertainment!! Thanks honey, I love you too!!!

Car is all booked in with the insurers for an assessment on Saturday, and we have optional hire car cover thank goodness - I sooo cannot be without a car, as I drive the kids to/from school (too far for walking - over 4kms away) and i have classes etc, so transport is a must!!

Here's hoping we won't be without our car for too long.

Hope your day is going a bit better than mine lol!!

Have a great day!!

Rak for Vanilla

Good morning Bloggers!!

Today I am typing this to the sound of hammers and banging noises - our garage roof is being replaced at last after the hail storm in December. The weather has fined up enough and for long enough that the workman can get it done. Just wish they had chosen to fix our skylights first cos I am soooo sick of the dark house. Oh well, I a guess I should be grateful they are doing something lol.

So, to the main reason for this entry today. . . .

Here is a photo of a little rak I am sending off to Vanilla today. Vanilla has professed to being a bit of a fan of my ATCs *blush* and I thought she would really like these ones. They are one of a kind (most ATCs I make are one of many in sets) so they are particularly unique. I totally love these and would not part with them except they are going to a totally lovely lady who I know will love them like I do.

The stamps are by Hero Arts. I totally love this style of stamps (I have, er, one or two *blush again*) as they are perfect for ATCs. I have stamped them with Brilliant Blue ink (Stampin' Up!) and created layers my stamping again, cutting out and adhering with dimensionals. I have also added rub-ons from American Crafts, Kaiser bling and ultra-fine glitter.

This is the card they are being sent in to Vanilla. She also liked this card, so I thought it would be a nice touch to send the ATCs in it.
Hope you like them Vanilla!

Hope you have a happy day!!

Last Monday class at home - back to UIW next week

Good afternoon blog hoppers!!

I have photos!! YAY! My Monday ladies graciously allowed me to take their photos with the fabulous cards they created today. Here is a photo of them with their cards. . .

From left to right are: Audrey, Joan, Sheila, Pam and Heather.

And these are their cards close up. We made moving teddies with the teddy from the retired "My Favourite Teddy" set from Stampin' Up! I love that set, and so do my ladies!

We also made a card I had demo'd the other night using the Baroque Motifs from the new catalogue, with Blue Bijou and Purely Pommegranate, two of the new 'In Colors' from Stampin' Up!

The following 2 cards are what the ladies made last week, but I forgot to photograph them then.

This card is made using the Cuttlebug, and embo0ssing folder and inks (Pumpkin Pie and Taken with Teal by Stampin' Up!). The background is done with a page of labels.

This card was made for the Little Scrapbook Shop April Cybercrop Sketch Challenge. The ladies really liked it, so that was the other card we made. The stamps used are by Autumn Leaves and Basic Grey, stazon jet black ink and blue Bazzill cardstock.

Have a great day!!

Thanks to my students. . .

Hello and good morning!

We have a bit of sunshine here today - it is so nice to have the curtains open in my craft room when the sun is shining!!

I keep forgetting to take photos at my kids classes to show you my proud students and the tops things they have made lol! Will get my kiddies together and take some pics so you can see.

The school holidays are nearly over here - they go back to school on Tuesday yay! All my kids classes were a great success during the holidays, and the kids all had a great time. I enjoyed having them here too.

Thanks to all the following kids (in no particular order) who made my classes so much fun: Emily, Jaida, Bella, Ely, Maddie, Anjaali, Dayle, Emily S., Jessica H, Chloe, Harin, Jessica C. and to the mums who stayed to chat.

Thanks also need to go to my Monday ladies who made it to my Mondays at home classes. You always brighten up the school holidays and make me think outside the square to come up with something new every week!

So, thank you (in no particular order) to: Pam, Joan, Audrey, Heather and Sheila. (I hope I didn't forget anyone!!).

Keep a lookout for photos soon.

Meet Jack

Want to meet our new kittycat?

This is Jack (with Michael).

Here is Emily with Jack (she just loves him sooooo much!!)

This is Jack on my laptop. He loves the feel of it cos its warm and hums (I think it must feel like purring lol). Since this photo was taken, I have taught Jack to stay off the puter - it is funny trying to type and he steps on the keys and all sorts of weird things happen hehehe!!)

blogging again

Good morning!!

Here's hoping this is the first of many daily posts!!

I will be posting more regularly (every day in fact :) ) showing you all the great things I will be making and teaching. I have plenty of backlog to put up here, so watch this space for updates.

Have a happy day,

Workshops

Hey there!

I have added some links in the side bar for workshops for term 2 2008, including the School Holiday programs for the April and July holidays. I live in Sydney Metro, so you would need to be in my area to come to the classes.

I am still working on the calendar, but that should be up in a few days time. In the meantime, you can click on my workshops for a list of the classes on offer. There will be a couple of extra technique classes coming soon, so stay tuned for those.

Hope to see some of you soon.

Have a happy day!

Not liking this green look. THink I'll go back to purple.

I have been playing with solid stamps and the kiss technique today (thank you to one of my lovely customers Wendy, who let me play with hers when I was her place today. Wendy also makes a mean ham cheese tomato sandwich too ;) )

I will take a pic soon and upload. The light is fading now, but hopefully it will photograph well.

Stay tuned. . . . . . . .

Ok well, it looks like I have lost all the links I had before down the side of my page ggrrr. not happy jan!!!

So, I will have to add them all over again *sigh*

A change is as good as a holiday

or so they say. . . .

please bear with me as I update and freshen up my blog. I am a bit of a techno-bimbo so this is gonna take a little while.

I will be posting a list of my workshops for April, May, June and July very soon and the calendar of dates will follow asap.

In the meantime, feel free to leave a comment with your email address if you would like a copy of my current newsletter.

I also have some of my retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets (including a few hostess sets) from the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 Australian Idea Book and Catelogues. I will be listing these here too asap with photos too, so keep a lookout for these fantastic bargains. Prices will not include postage (sorry, will only post within Australia).

Have a great rest of the day!!
